For Dear Love
He came to me midday
One day
And set my heart to sing.
You cannot tell me he is not the Earth,
The Sun and Moon and Sea
His footsteps are earthquakes
Shake my knees from afar
Golden locks fall from his head
His voice, my light, at night.
And crystals formed his eyes,
I swear
God made him of blue jewels
My Saviour
Who resurrected Broken Love
From her grave
Then opened up her chest
So that light, and air
And a sweet aroma
Would fill her
And she was saved.
I love you, you know that
I seriously love.
We’ll rest beneath the stars
And paint our destiny
Whatever is to become of us
At least you’ll be with me.
